Jaye Ho!

Thanks to Danny Boyle we got some Oscars, but few days back i have seen Indian Film Awards and noticed something peculiar. In Indian awards only those actors who were present at the Award function were honored with the Awards. There may be two reasons for that, one there might be a rule that award will be given to only those who were present in the function or second the actors already knew that they are going to receive that.
The second one seems to be quite reasonable one an our actors already knew this, i remembered once Govinda said in a show that he didn't got the award till date because he didnt purchased any.
If this happens in our film industry then the respect for the indian award will not come and now we are seeing the consequences of that. Indian award has totally lost their value and we respect Oscars because we cannot purchase it, and all the actors in Oscar are present whether they will get the awards or not.
I can only say that if all the indain actors can be present in our awards then we can also respects our own awards. Our film i.e. Bollywood has 2.8 billion viewers and Hollywood has 2.2 million viewers. So our Industry can get more value then any other film industry.

Colorful Polythenes

We all use Polythenes, and in a day time we touch hundreds of different color, and shape polythenes and it's not the time to know the harmful(like clogging of drainage systems, can suffocate babies, took very long time to decay, burning can convert it into carbon di oxide and into harmful gases, dying of cows because of chewing of polythenes etc.) effects of it, because we all already knew it. Even the city like Dhaka has banned using the polythenes.
Then why we can't do it? not because we don't want to do it but we don't want to do sacrifices. For small convenience like for carrying things we don't want to use paper bags. How often we have seen this in English Movies, we copy so many things from them but not this thing.
I know we Indians can do anything if we oath to do it, but we are waiting for some major consequence before ignoring the polythenes. But if we can't stop using it, just for the sake of country try to avoid one polythene a day. I know if we all do this then we can see the change and one day we all will stop using it at all.

Small but big- Paper

we always think about big problems in our life, because life is full of big problems and one is stupid if one thinks about small problems. But we never thought about the root of the problems, we always keep ourself busy through solving the problems.
There is a alternative way of looking into the problem not just solving it but also curbing the root of the problem. We always argue about the deforestation, water problem, food problems but never gave a thought as why these things are happening in the world here is another small problems of wasting paper.
Paper is used in many ways in writing, packaging etc. It seems easy to have it but if one goes into the manufacturing of it, paper goes through several process before to have a plane piece of paper like mechanical pulping, chemical pulping, additives, drying etc.
If papers are used carefully we can in fact protect cutting of trees which in turn helps in rains and which in turn helps in flourishing of species and then on and on. So a small saving of piece of paper can help us in lot many ways. So helping our environment in any sense is not small in any way.
So next time when we use paper be a bit careful in using it.

Water

India has reached the moon(chandrayan), India is a nuclear power, we have IITs, we have IIMs, we have ISRO, we have atomic research centers we will be super power no doubt. But do we have basic things like food, water, shelter. Still millions of people sleep on footpath, railway stations etc. Thousands of villages do not have water to drink millions of women walk miles to have drinking water. The causes are many, deforestation may be the prime one, less rainfall may be the another one, polluting the river water is also one of the major concerns. We all have seen the condition of river Ganga, the color of water is changed those who have seen it earlier can say, there are thousands of reasons but whats more important is what we can do for preserving water. Earlier we used to take water for granted and we are watching the consequences. The water table has decreased significantly. We need to stop wasting water , we need to build our houses with water storing facility, we need to plant, we need to stop throwing wastes in river water, we need to take initiative. Otherwise we have a long coastline and if drinking water is not preserved one can say that "water water everywhere but no water to drink"
